Congrats Nicole!

IRIS  Congratulations to Nicole on becoming the newest proud American citizen.  I also have to mention congratulations on your upcoming 25th. anniversary.  It could not have been easy with Bill.  I know how you love flowers so here are some to mark your milestones.

Re-run Long Canyon

Under the Bloulder  We took a nostalgic drive through appropriately named Pucker Pass and Long Canyon.  It was my first jeeping experience last spring in Moab.  Yes, this is a huge boulder that fell from the canyon wall above and we drove under it!  There were no tears or cries on this trip.  Come a long way baby.

Crossing Gemini Bridges

Gemini Bridges Trail  Brad drove the jeep out the Gemini Bridges trail in Moab.  This is the section just before the two rock bridges.  He was having fun!  You can see pics of wildlife along the way on my current pics in the blogroll.

Back Dooring

Start of Shafer Trail into Canyonlands

This is the backdoor into Canyonlands NP via the Shafer Trail.  It is a scenic drive from along the Colorado River up into the canyons.  It has a series of hair-raising, white knuckle switchbacks up the steep canyon wall.   Click on Current Photos on the blogroll to see Thelma and Louise Point, Dead Horse Point and the Colorado River Gooseneck.

Discovering Hidden Canyon

Forgotten Canyon  As we drove into Hidden Canyon, the wash was full of deep sand and tumbleweed.  With the 30 mph winds and blowing sand, we dodged the tumbleweed as it sailed past us.  The weather is in the high 70’s and the leaves are just starting to pop here.  If you double click on the pic, you can see our jeep tracks in the sandy wash.

Moab UT: The Jeep Mecca

The LaSal Mtns from Arches NP  Moab is as beautiful and exciting as we remember from our visit last May.  The weather is sunny and the scenery magnificent.  This is a view of the La Sal Mtns. from Arches NP.  The snow looks like it may inhibit some jeep rides in those mountains.
